10/05/2010 Range update
Most of the Range equipment has arrived. It is supposed to be installed no later than 10/18/2010. Received an email about two of the parts for ventilation, shipping on the 18th. That doesn’t help. We have a lot to do so we will deal with the missing parts when they arrive. We have another delivery today.

Bob
Bob showed up for a friendly shoot. He took third. I see a rematch coming up real soon. We did change his rest and laser tuned his bow. Big difference.
1/2 Hour of training with the purchase of every...
In 2006 when we started Tri-State Firearms we made a commitment to every gun and non gun owner. We have since the sale of the first firearm included a 1/2 Hour of training with the purchase of every Firearm. we are looking forward more training.
We have exspanded this to our archery too. Purchase a Bow from us and it includes a 1/2 hour of training
Indoor Range Update
I wish I had a confirmed date to tell you that the range will open. This week the electrician is removing some of the old power and installing the new power. Concrete dust is everywhere and we are removing it this week.
The Indoor archery took off a lot better than I could of hoped for.
Archery
I have been having a lot of fun shooting archery after the store is closed. Bob is going to come over to the range on Monday for a little friendly competition.
Arrow
They pulled the arrow out of the concrete before I could take a picture.
Arrows helped find a problem
The arrow change helped me see that my vanes were touching my drop away rest.
I am enjoying all the help I am getting from the people coming to the range to shoot. I am going to do a draw length adjustment Friday. Shot the vane off one of my new arrows. Would love to do that all the time. I had the majority in the yellow and red 20 yards. Will post a pic of the one that went high and stuck into...
Can arrows make that big of a difference
Today after I decided to put my bow away not happy with my groups, John brought my arrows out that he set up for me. What a difference. I will shoot both sets of arrows tomorrow. Might be me. If you saw that last group you might think I new how to shoot.
Credit cards
OK as an owner of a business that accepts credit cards I would call it a love hate relationship. The bottom line is that it costs around 2% for cards to be used and in the end the consumer pays. Enough crying from me. I now will take credit card for our gunbroker sales.
Chris does an excellent job with our gunbroker account. 136 A+ feedback. Thanks Chris
Blog or not to blog
I have been straight out with the new range and have not posted anything on my blog. I have to commit to myself to post what is going on.

Remington R25 7mm-08 TEST
A new Remington R25 in 7mm-08 came in last week. After 1 hour on the shelf I couldn’t stand it anymore. Lets back up…. Every caliber has its fans. Well you might say that I am a fan of 7mm-08. I try as many 7mm-08 that I can.
Staff member John and I took the R25 with 4 boxes of 140gr. The 100 yard group was very consistent .50” We will have video of our tests up soon.
